PROGRAM OUTLINES
The
International Center for Language Studies (ICLS) presents the Training of
Training (TOT) Program for (English as a Second Language) ESL Instructors
and ESL Education Administrators through its International Exchange and
Business Training Program (IEBT).
Today’s business world and globalization require international professionals
to be multilingual and multicultural. Business English has become a key
communication and business-networking tool in conducting businesses around
the world. Future generations of professionals will work and communicate in
an international professional and business setting. The demand for highly
professional ESL teachers is constantly growing and will become a number one
issue due to the lack of well-qualified teachers.

TRAINING OF TRAINERS (TOT)
PROGRAM OPTIONS FOR ESL TEACHERS & INSTRUCTORS
ICLS
Training of Trainers (TOT) program introduces cross-cultural training and etiquette for doing
business in the United States. To promote cross-cultural awareness, participants will be invited
to compare their business and work customs with those in the United States and in other
countries. The program orientation will include a variety of common social and business
situations, visiting professional places and workshops in the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area.
Throughout the course,
program participants will learn how to use an integrated approach to teaching four skills --
listening, speaking, reading, and writing through various case study scenarios and training
materials used in social, business, and professional environments. ESL teachers-participants will
practice using this approach based on ESL’s curriculum at ICLS.
