Step 6: ORIENTATION TO THE J-1
EXCHANGE VISITOR PROGRAM
ICLS provides an
orientation to participants who received a J-1 visa at the United States
Embassy. The “Pre-Arrival” packet provides information about international
airports and travel tips, U.S. port of entry and customs policy, public
transportation, banks, and safety/security tips. Upon arrival, exchange
participants attend “Upon Arrival” orientation at ICLS. During this
orientation, the exchange participants learn about their benefits and
responsibilities, discuss their internship training programs and J-1 status
compliance. |
