Enrollment Process: step 2

LANGUAGE & SKILLS ASSESSMENT

  1. Online timed English test (applicants eligible for Option 1 or Option 4)

  2. Phone interview with either the ICLS English as a Second Language division coordinator or teacher.

  3. Phone interview with either the IEBT director or program coordinator to discuss the applicant’s skills and knowledge, as well as goals and expectations for the program.

After finishing these tests, IEBT staff will provide program recommendations to qualified candidates. This includes a suggested Program Option as well as appropriate training fields.

Some applicants may suggest a U.S.-based organization as a future host organization. In those cases, IEBT will review their suitability. If the applicant’s recommendation is acceptable under Exchange Visa Program (EVP) regulations, ICLS will move immediately to Step 4, Visa Application. If the applicant’s suggested host organization is not acceptable, ICLS will move to Step 3, Placement Search.
