REQUIREMENTS FOR INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS
TO BE ISSUED AN I-20

ESL Programs

Prospective ICLS Students:

We need the following documentation and/or information, in order to process your application and issue an I-20 form to apply for F-1 Visa:  (Click here for J-1 Visa requirements)

  1. Completed Application for Admission. Please include your intended start date on your application form (Month, Date, and Year)

  2. Registration/Application fee. (non-refundable)

  3. Copy of pages in your passport with your picture, date of issue, and date of birth.

  4. Proof of original financial documentation needed:

If you are paying your tuition by yourself,

  • A notarized original letter or statement from your bank showing Name of Account Holder
    and Amount in U.S. currency (very important)

If your sponsor lives outside the United States,

  • A completed ICLS Financial Sponsorship form.

  • A notarized original letter or statement from your sponsor’s bank showing:
    Name of Account Holder and Amount in U.S. currency (very important)
    available for your studies and living expenses

If your sponsor lives in the United States

  • A completed and notarized affidavit of support form (Form I-134).

  • A notarized original letter or statement from your sponsor’s bank showing:
    Name of Account Holder and Amount in U.S. currency (very important)
    available for your studies and living expenses

NOTE: You should get two original copies of the financial documents requested above. Send one original to ICLS. Submit the second original to the American Embassy with your visa application.

  1. Address of a friend or relative in the United States, whom we can contact in case of emergency, or with whom you will live. If you have chosen homestay, please provide us confirmation.

  2. First month’s tuition deposit. If you are not granted an F-1 visa, this will be refunded upon return of Form I-20 AB to ICLS.

As soon as we receive the above documents and/or information, we will process your application.
