ESL REGISTRATION

REGISTRATION STEPS FOR ALL ESL STUDENTS

  • Fill out our Registration form.  You can download it here.  

  • Mail the registration form and the non-refundable $75.00 registration fee to ICLS. (ICLS mailing address)  You may choose to email your application form, however, in order to be considered as registered student, we will need to receive the registration fee.  For your convenience, we accept VISA, MASTERCARD and AMERICAN EXPRESS. Click here for Credit Card Authorization form.  (Please fill out this form and make sure you sign it before sending it to us.)

International Students

All international students who come to the United States with the intention to study must apply for a student visa (F-1).  In order to apply for an F-1 visa, you will need to receive an I-20 form from ICLS to take it to the American embassy in your country.  We need the following documentation and/or information, in order to process your application and issue an I-20 form:

  • Registration/Application fee. (non-refundable), as explained above

  • Completed Student Application form with the starting date of the course and duration of your study entered.

  • An original letter from a bank showing:

    • A) name of account holder

    • B) amount in U.S. currency

  • Address of a friend or relative in the United States whom we can contact in case of emergency, or with whom you will live. Will you need help with a homestay We work with a homestay agency that can help you.  Click here for more Housing information

  • First month’s tuition deposit. If you are not granted a student visa, this will be refunded upon return of Form I-20 AB to ICLS.

  • Completed form of financial sponsorship. Click here to download the form (Microsoft Word format).

  • If your sponsor lives in the United States, a completed affidavit of support.  Click here to download this form (.pdf format, INS form I-134).  (This form must be notarized and financial information such as bank statements must be included at the time of submitting this form and your application.)

transferring International Students

If you are already in the United States and have been studying at another institution and would like to transfer your I-20 to ICLS, you will need to provide the documentation listed for international students.  In addition, you will need to make an appointment with the ICLS Registrar to make sure you can transfer form your current institution to ICLS.  Please call 202-639-8800 and make an appointment with our Registrar.
